For five decades, Datacolor’s mission has been to support customers with innovative solutions and technologies that help get color right. We’ve grown significantly over the years and attribute this success to our valued employees, customers and partners. This year marks our 50th anniversary, and we’re taking time to reflect.
For most of us, COVID-19 has changed life as we know it. As we continue to navigate through this unprecedented time, I am prouder than ever of our global team and the community we’ve built.
At Datacolor, we recognize and respect the challenges our customers are facing during this global pandemic. Our commitment remains focused on supporting their needs while ensuring the health and safety of our customers and employees.
We are all adapting to and navigating the COVID-19 situation in our personal and professional lives. As a company, we must also be resilient and flexible as the situation evolves every day. Despite the fact that many of our customer’s offices and locations now closed, our digital color technologies are allowing them to still communicate color information with suppliers that are able to operate, ensuring that their projects and production can continue whenever possible.
Our factory workers in Suzhou, China, are again fully operational with extensive safety measures in place. They are ensuring products are delivered to our customers that can receive them with standard lead times. Our support staff around the world is available remotely to help our customers troubleshoot any issues they run into. And, essential office employees are ensuring core operations, like shipments and lab work, stay on track for our customers.
Customers Giving Back
For 50 years, we’ve had the privilege of working with inspiring customers in the markets we serve. Now, so many of them are using their resources to give back when the world needs it most. We applaud their efforts and are proud to be their partners.
Many of our customers are using their facilities to produce personal protective equipment, like masks, for healthcare professionals. Some are even manufacturing ventilators for communities in need. Others are making generous monetary and product donations for COVID-19 relief efforts.
Today Datacolor donated 800 N95 masks to the state of New Jersey, desperate for protection equipment for the many frontline workers battling this virus.
Where We’re Going
Perhaps now more than ever, we’re seeing the need to push for digitization of production and the supply chain in order minimize the impact of future disruptions. There’s no doubt COVID-19 will have a lasting impact on the industries we serve. But, the mission that has gotten us to where we are today will remain the same: helping our customer to get color right. We’ll continue to provide comprehensive service and support and innovative color management solutions based on our understanding of ever-evolving customer needs.
With the situation changing day-to-day, we’re continuing to think of ways in which we can educate, support and adapt the best we can during this unpredictable time. It has required a new level of creativity and resourcefulness, and we are proud of our innovative global team. Our employees, customers and partners are the best in the business, and we’re confident in their ability to weather the storm of COVID-19.
