Photography has fascinated me since I was a teenager. I learned the first steps to professional handling of the medium in a photo club. My teacher at the time had a significant influence on me. With the development of technology, my repertoire grew at the same time.
\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”30870″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Is photography your hobby or your profession? <\/strong><\/p>\n

What started as a hobby is now the center of my life.
\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”30880″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Where and how was the image you entered into the competition taken? Is there a story about it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Talk To Me” was taken in the Wisper Valley (Germany). The red of the flower immediately appealed to me, moreover, the opening of the flower in the photograph looks like a mouth, which is further emphasized by the color. Hence the title.<\/p>\n

“Hard to digest” is a symbol for the fact that nature is able to simply swallow us humans, even if we are heavy fare for it .<\/p>\n

“Tracing” shows the paths that the bark beetle has dug between the tree and the bark. It resembles a labyrinth and illustrates how powerful a very small creature can be in the community. Centuries-old trees, a symbol of size and strength, are no longer able to cope with the drought (due to climate change). I want to call this out as a warning. In order to emphasize the signaling effect, I intensified the color red, which was already present in a light shimmer.

My inspiration arises deep inside, in the silence, while walking, in nature.<\/p>\n

Currently I focus on nature and macro photography. However, contrasts and oxymoronic situations always catch my attention.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your next photo project, your next challenge?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I usually do not talk about my photographic projects while they are still in progress. But this much I can reveal – it’s about a characteristic of my home area.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”30960″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Do you include color management in your photographic workflow?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Colors have a conscious and unconscious effect on me and also on the viewer, so color management is the essence of my image editing. A look at my Instagram account clarifies what I am talking about.

Do you print them, post them on your social media accounts or your website or do they simply stay on your hard drive?<\/strong><\/p>\n

For exhibitions or for collectors I order prints. There are some pictures I take that I decide at a later time what to do with. . I share some of my work on social networks. Just recently I was able to finish my photo book. It is called “TREES” and describes a life path through photographs of trees and tree bark.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your photographic goal? What do you dream of?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I want to inspire people with photographic moments and impressions and invite them to dive into a world that they may not have perceived before.
