California SB1215 Recycling Fee · Information for Datacolor Customers in California
Effective January 1, 2026, certain Datacolor products sold in California will include a Covered Battery-Embedded Product Recycling Fee. This fee is mandated by Senate Bill (SB) 1215, which updates California’s Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003 to include products with embedded, non-easily-removable batteries. The law aims to reduce fire risks and ensure safe recycling.
