Which visual mediums do you use?
How did you get started in this?
I started as a photographer in a makeover studio before diving into the amazing world of commercial photography. I’ve had the opportunity to shoot campaigns for Colgate, Nike, Diageo, Singapore Airlines, InterContinental Hotels Group, Caltex, Embraer, and DHL — just to name a few.

What Datacolor color management tools are in your work bag/workspace?
In today’s photography world, color management is slowly taking a back seat. Many photographers no longer prioritize color accuracy — it’s often more about achieving a particular “color recipe” or aesthetic. But if you’re planning to pursue a career in commercial photography, getting the colors right is absolutely essential.
Take fashion photography, for example: the color of a dress in the final image must accurately reflect the real garment. In product photography, there’s no room for interpretation — the product’s color must match what the consumer sees in person. Whether you’re shooting a car, a phone, or a pair of shoes, color accuracy isn’t optional; it’s the standard.
In commercial work, precision matters — and that starts with proper color management.
I`m using a SpyderPro and the Datacolor LightColor Meter.
Why is accurate color important within your workflow?
We can’t rely solely on a camera’s white balance reading. Getting the right color is a process. Using the LightColor Meter during the shoot is key, and calibrating your monitor is equally important.
Some may say you can always retouch in post — which is true, but sometimes it can be a very painful process. The golden rule is to always get the color right from the start.
What’s your biggest challenge at work these days?
More and more work can now be done with AI.
What’s your objective when you create something?
Having the right set of knowledge is key — such as the right gear, lighting, and metering. The team that supports you during a shoot is also important: stylist, photography assistant, makeup artist, and so on.
But the most important element is still your idea and vision.
Best bit of advice you ever got?
If you can’t make a person look better, don’t make them look worse!
Do you have a fun fact you want to share about yourself?
I became an “accidental photographer” during my national service in the army. I had brought along a roll of black-and-white film and borrowed my mother’s point-and-shoot camera. Since I didn’t know how to load the film, my mother kindly helped me with it.
