Getting started with CloudQC

Please choose ‘Forgot Password’ on the login screen and check for Datacolor Cloud sender in your email inbox to reset it

Getting Familiar with the User Interface

Chrome Browser:
Go to Settings -> Downloads from the top right menu or enter chrome://settings/downloads on the address bar to change download settings. Users can change the default folder location of the downloads and select the option “Ask where to save each file before downloading”. When this option is selected user will get Save As dialog to decide the location of the download and rename the file to be downloaded.

Edge Browser:
Same as in the Chrome browser on the Edge browser user can go to Settings -> Downloads from the right top menu or enter edge://settings/downloads in the address bar to change download settings. Users can change the default folder location of the downloads and select “Ask me what to do with each download”. When this option is selected user has an option for Save As to decide the location of the download and rename the file to be downloaded.

CloudQC Desktop app: uses Edge browser. The application does not support the Save as option for now but it will be offered in the future. For now after saving the file, the user will have to rename it to the desired name

Yes, there are two options: delete selected batches from the database and delete selected batches temporarily from the grid only.

Click on the ‘Grid Fields Selection’ bar and disable the fields that you don’t wish to show on your grid. These changes get stored with the User Profile and will be available after the user logs out and logs back in.

Hovering on any point on the color difference plot or area of the reflectance curve will show the name of the batch as well as additional information

Press the symbol  on the top right corner to reset the plot to the original size and position

Yes, color difference plot and reflectance plot can zoomed in and panned to specific areas

Yes, all 4 components are dynamically connected. Highlighting a batch in any of the components will highlight the batch in the other 3 components

Yes, if the user choose the option Export selected Batches, only those batches selected on the batch grid will be included on the QTX, PDF and Excel files

Enabling this option preserves the white balance of the color displayed regardless of the Illuminant/Observer selected. When the option is not selected, white or grey colors look orange for certain illuminants like A or U3500

No, this is not possible in this release

On the left navigation, choose the icon for tolerances and choose from 4 possibilities

On the left navigation, choose the icon for illuminant/observers and choose up to 3 sets from the available list

Working with Instruments

Use the left navigation menu and click on Measure standard icon, after measuring the standard you can proceed to measure the batch.

Yes, click on instrument status icon on the top right corner, click on the gloss mode, chose your desired gloss mode and press Save

Grey = Not Initialized, Green = Connected, Yellow = Disconnected (Sleep mode), Red = Not available

Only ColorReader Spectro can be used with CloudQC Essentials at this point. There are plans to incorporate other instrument models in the near future.

Managing Data in CloudQC

Press the wheel symbol beside the desired standard and unselect the batches you don’t want to be included for the standard.

Press the trash can symbol beside the desired standard.

Select a Standard(s) that you wish to move to another folder, press the Move button and choose the new folder.

The Search box on the top right corner of the Data View can be used to find the standard in the database.

Gor to Data Management and from Data View, click on the Batch operations edit button, select the batches you want to delete or rename and press the corresponding button.

Go to Data Management and from Data View, click on the standard you wish to delete or rename and press the corresponding button. All batches for selected standards will also be deleted.

During the measurement of the standard, a dialog offers the option to store the standard in a folder in the database. Once the standard is stored, all batches measured against this standard will be automatically stored in the database. If the standard is not store at this point, the user can click on the Store icon on the left navigation menu.

Importing QTX in CloudQC

Yes, this release warns users of duplications during the import process if the QTX contains standards already in the database

Between users of CloudQC Viewer, the status and comments fields will be read from the QTX and populate the batch grid.

For users of Tools or competitive QC packages the fields STD_COMMENTS, BAT_STATUS and BAT_COMMENTS need to be added to be recognized by the program
